Since your Basic Life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) benefits are paid for by the ETFO Employee Life and Health Trust (ELHT) benefits plan, you will be receiving T4A tax slips for these taxable benefits by the end of February. (NOTE: If you are a Quebec resident, you will also see the funded health and dental amounts reported on the T4A tax slips.)

The Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, Bill 148 was passed on November 22, 2017 and amends the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA). Leave provision changes for parental leave and critical illness leave were effective on December 3, 2017. All other leave changes were effective as of January 1, 2018.
